Srivilliputhur is well known for the sweet called Palkova. The famous Srivilliputhur Palkova received Geographical Indication (GI) tag in September 2019 from the Geographical Indications Registry of India. The unique taste of Palkova comes from milk of cows raised in and around this area. More than 1000 are involved in this business of making, selling and exporting this sweet product.

Thirumukulam [திருமுக்குளம்]

There is a pond  called 'Thirumukulam' on the western side of Srivilliputhur belonging to Sri Andal Temple. There are three ponds inside Tirumukulam. These can be seen when the water is completely dry. It is believed among the people that there are three rivers Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati here. It is a huge pond with four sides. On the eastern bank is the 'Theerthavari Mandapam'. The most important festival of the Andal temple, the ‘Enney Kappu Utsavam’ [எண்ணெய் காப்பு உற்சவம்]  is held at the Theerthavari Mandapam. Also during the festival, the tirtham [holy water] is taken from here to the Andal temple. When the pool is full, it looks like an ocean. It is the main cause of rise in ground water level in this town.

திருமுக்குளம்: ஸ்ரீவில்லிபுத்தூர் மேற்குப் பகுதியில் ஸ்ரீ ஆண்டாள் கோயிலுக்குச் சொந்தமான 'திருமுக்குளம்' குளம் உள்ளது. திருமுக்குளத்தின் உள்ளே மூன்று குளங்கள் உள்ளன. தண்ணீர் முழுவதுமாக வற்றியவுடன் இவற்றைக் காணலாம். இங்கு கங்கை, யமுனை, சரஸ்வதி ஆகிய மூன்று நதிகள் இருப்பதாக மக்கள் மத்தியில் நம்பிக்கை உள்ளது. நான்கு பக்கமும் கொண்ட பெரிய குளம். கிழக்குக் கரையில் 'தீர்த்தவாரி மண்டபம்' உள்ளது. ஆண்டாள் கோயிலின் மிக முக்கியமான திருவிழாவான ‘எண்ணெய் காப்பு உற்சவம்’ தீர்த்தவாரி மண்டபத்தில் நடைபெறுகிறது. மேலும் திருவிழாவின் போது இங்கிருந்து ஆண்டாள் கோயிலுக்கு தீர்த்தம் எடுத்துச் செல்லப்படுகிறது. குளம் நிரம்பினால் கடல் போல் காட்சியளிக்கிறது. இந்த ஊரில் நிலத்தடி நீர்மட்டம் உயர முக்கிய காரணம்.
